Our fantastic team of wedding dance tutors are all trained professional dancers with a solid grounding and technique behind them, impressive performing CVs and years of teaching experience. Our friendly tutors come to your home to give the lessons, and they are happy to work with all levels of ability from beginner to advanced. We cover London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, as well as Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland. We are also delighted to offer our services to couples preparing for civil partnership ceremonies.

Allan Jay - Dance Tutor (SW London)

Allan trained in Musical Theatre and Performing Arts at Motherwell College in Scotland. He has choreographed Disco Fever and Soul Train dance shows for Matt Page Entertainment, as well as shows and catwalks in Blackpool and London, and internationally for dance shows in Ibiza. As a dancer Allan has performed in Chicago and Beyond (UK Tour and BBC One), Dil Apna Punjabi (Bollywood film) and on Sky TV in a Shahrokh Khan concert. He has also appeared as a singer with The 12 Irish Tenors on CBS, ABC and other TV stations.In 2009 he was Assistant Choreographer for Mamma Mia concert in London. Allan's dance teaching experience includes the Lynne Miller Academy of Theatre Arts, DanceWize International and Theatre Workshops Brighton. Allan covers the South West London area.


Rebecca Coates - Dance Tutor (South London) 

Rebecca trained at the London Studio Centre. She teaches many styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Street, Bollywood and Irish. Her performing credits include Bollywood dancing at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square Festival and the Royal Opera House, and TV dance appearances on CD:UK, Top of the Pops, Smack the Pony and The Omid Djalili Show, as well as the film Monsoon Wedding. Rebecca has taught dance in the UK and Botswana. She covers the South London area. 


Kristel Elling - Dance Tutor (North London) 

Kristel originates from Estonia. She trained at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Her theatre credits include Les Miserables (Germany), The Three Sisters and The Vagina Monologues. Film and TV includes At A Distance, The Trial (Channel 4) and Harry Enfield's TV Burp (ITV1). Kristel has also appeared in commercials including Honda Civic. As a dance teacher she has taught at Balance Sports Club in Estonia, and she leads the dance workshops and auditions at Central School of Speech and Drama. Kristel covers the North London area.



Emma Kelly - Dance Tutor (London & Surrey) 

Emma has been dancing since the age of three. She trained as a dancer at Julie Sianne Theatre Arts until the age of 18, then went on to Guildford School of Acting to study for a three-year degree in Musical Theatre. Since graduating, Emma has worked extensively as an actress, singer and dancer in TV, film and theatre, including West End and UK/Europe tours. Theatre includes Estelle/Dance Captain in The Full Monty (English Theatre, Frankfurt), Sharpay Evans in High School Musical (UK Tour), Woman 2 in Hits of the West End (Hamilton Town House, Glasgow), Woman in Independent Woman (New Players Theatre, West End). Emma covered and played the role of Sophie in Mamma Mia (Prince of Wales Theatre, West End), Suzanne in a one-off showcase performance of a new musical, The Music is the Hero (New Players Theatre), Princess in Aladdin (Landor Theatre) and The Pupil in The Lesson (King's Head Theatre). TV and film work includes Nurse in The Friday Night Project (Channel 4) and Rosalyn in In Between (La Toyson D'or Films). Emma is also a qualified teacher and choreographer. She was principal choreographer at Julie Sianne Theatre Arts for seven years. Emma choreographs and teaches all over the country, ranging from Musical Theatre workshops and jazz classes to Hen Parties, Wedding Dances and full-scale shows. Choreographic work includes 30th Anniversary Celebration and Assistant Choreographer on The Full Monty (both at the English Theatre, Frankfurt), Independent Women (New Players Theatre), "The Rap" Achilles in Heels (Landor Theatre) and Friday Street (London Film School).

Michelle Carter - Dance Tutor (North, Central & South London) 

Michelle trained at Laine Theatre Arts, studying Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Jazz dance. She is also a qualified Aerobics instructor. Michelle's professional performing credits include dancing with Kanye West (BRIT Awards 2006), Michelle Marsh UK Tour, Dance Nation Tour with DJ Sash and acting roles on The Bill and The IT Crowd. Michelle has appeared on various TV shows dancing for Cheryl Cole, including X Factor and The BRIT Awards, and danced for Pink also at the BRITS. Michelle danced for various artists on the TV shows Top of the Pops and CD:UK and she also danced in the most famous commercial for T- Mobile. Choreography includes magic shows in the US, corporate shows eg. Doc Marten fashion show, as well as choreographing dance workshops and fitness/dance classes. International dance engagements have taken her to Cyprus, Malaga and Dubai. Choreographic work has included choreographer/dancer at the Delovely film premiere at London's Cafe de Paris. Michelle covers the North, Central and South London areas.

Gemma Quinnell - Dance Tutor (Kent & Bexley)

Gemma has been working professionally for more than ten years as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. She is experienced in many styles of dance, including Ballroom, Latin, Rock & Roll, Hip Hop and Street Dance. Gemma's work has taken her to numerous countries including Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, the Caribbean, the United States of America, Finland and Morocco. She has also performed in theatres, on ships, hotels, holiday centres, TV and circus. Gemma specialises in partner and group dances, and is very happy to help you make your wedding dance special. Gemma covers the Kent and Bexley areas.

Helen Patching - Dance Tutor (East Kent & SE London)

Helen gained a BA Honours Degree in Dance and Theatre Performance from Bird College, London. Most recently, Helen has been touring the UK and internationally with Disney's musical, Beauty & The Beast.  Prior to this she toured with The Rat Pack Party and worked as Dance Captain on the Disney Cruise Line in America. Helen also choreographs catwalks for wedding shows across the country. Having trained in all styles of dance and still enjoying a varied and successful career, Helen is delighted to be joining the team as a choreographer for Song and Dance for your Wedding. Helen covers the East Kent area from Canterbury to Dover, and South East London.





Louisa-Marie Hunt - Dance Tutor (Essex)

Louisa-Marie trained in dance and performing arts at Middlesex University, with Post Graduate studies in acting and musical theatre at Hertfordshire Theatre School. As a performer she has appeared in numerous stage productions including Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, several national theatre tours and as a solo singer at the London Palladium. Film includes It's Only A Game and Rose's Last Train. Teaching work includes Stagecoach Theatre School and Stageability. As a choreographer Louisa-Marie has worked at the Landor Theatre and with First Dance UK. Louisa-Marie's specialist skills include ballroom dancing. Louisa-Marie covers the Essex area (Brentwood, Chelsmford, Colchester, Dunmow and Ipswich).

 

Heather Holt - Dance Tutor (Hertfordshire, Essex & Cambridgeshire) 

Heather trained in dance  at the Arts Educational School, Tring Park, graduating with the National Trinity Certificate in Professional Classical Ballet, ISTD Teaching Certificates in Modern Theatre and Cecchetti Ballet and A Levels. Thereafter she obtained the Royal Academy of Dance's Certificate of Higher Education in Dance Education and has received the Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher Status (RAD RTS). Heather has also gained a first class honours degree with the Middlesex University, BA (Hons) Professional Practice: Dance. Heather's performance credits include Presumed Innocent Show (The Algarve, Portugal),Celebrity Cruises (Gary Musick Productons), supporting artist and dancing roles in TV and film, Hell Sing, a new musical showcase, Me and My Girl (London Palladium), Crazy for You (London Palladium and site specific and corporate performances with The Beaux Belles. She currently teaches at the Graham School of Dance and Debut School of Performing Arts. Heather covers Hertfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

Bethan Thomas - Dance Tutor (London) 

Bethan trained at Laine Theatre Arts and Central School of Ballet. Teaching experience includes Perform, Stagecoach Theatre Arts and the Maria Evans School of Dance in Swansea. As an actress, Bethan's theatre credits include at Blood Brothers,  Charley's Aunt, Mother Courage and the National Tour of Romeo and Juliet, as well as TV appearances on Torchwood and for the BBC. Bethan covers the London area.


 


Katie Lowe - Dance Tutor (Berkshire & Buckinghamshire) 

Katie Lowe trained at Arts Educational School, London. After her intense Cecchetti ballet training from the age of 5, she gained a Diploma in Musical Theatre (as well as her Cecchetti Ballet Associate) after realising that acting and singing were just as much fun as ballet! Since graduating she has gained a diverse range of performing experience. Most recently Katie's credits include, the Fiancee in Strindberg's Ghost Sonata at The National Studio, a principal Hip Hop dancer in Branded at the Old Vic, Rita in the BBC film Ballet Shoes, and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz in last summer's Argos advert! Alongside her performing work, Katie enjoys teaching and choreographing. She often finds herself at Eton College working with the boys on various shows. Katie is currently choreographing the school production of A funny thing happened on the way to the forum. A wonderful show.  Katie also set up her own Youth Theatre last year at Windsor Theatre Royal where classes take place every week. There are three different age groups. They devise theatre including all disciplines and perform it on the stage every term. After teaching all disciplines for Stagecoach and Redroofs over several years her experience has taught her a lot. Katie loves to combine her performing work with teaching as it gives her that energy and enthusiasm one needs to pass the knowledge and skill on!

Emma Cannon - Dance Tutor (Essex)  

Emma trained at the London Studio Centre, graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre Dance. Upon leaving college she joined the UK Tour of Grease and made her West End debut when the show transferred to the Victoria Palace Theatre. Emma has since appeared in the UK tour of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, onboard P & O's Oriana as Dance Captain and Principal Singer, at the London Palladium in Sondheim's Follies, and most recently in the hit West End show Eurobeat with Les Dennis and Mel Giedroyc. Emma has also appeared in several pantomimes for First Family Entertainment and Qdos Productions, and has recorded the vocals for several children's books published by Priddy Books. Emma has taught Grease and Beauty and the Beast workshops around the UK. She is a musical theatre tutor for the MGA Academy and currently teaches Jazz and Tap at the Sylvia Young Theatre School. Emma covers the Essex area.



Paula Templeman - Dance Tutor (East Hertfordshire) 

Paula began dancing at Harlow Ballet School at the age of seven. In 1999 she graduated from the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, gaining her 3-year Professional Diploma. Paula also holds qualifications in Class Instruction, Fitness, Nutrition and Personal Training. Since graduation, Paula has been involved in numerous film, theatre, site specific and educational projects, including dance pieces shown at The Place Resolution Festival. Paula currently works as a freelance dance artist, dance teacher and choreographer. This includes Dance Captain/Soloist for Santus Circus, Dancer/Magician's Assistant for PMB Productions (UK Tour) and Pantomime Choreographer for Shooting Star Entertainment. Paula has taught dance for Theatretrain, Bedazzle and Razzamataz Theatre Schools, and worked as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor for the NHS. Paula covers the East Hertfordshire area including Bishops Stortford, Harlow and surrounding villages.


Gayle Telfer Stevens - Dance Tutor (Scotland - Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh) 


Gayle trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. She is trained extensively in all three disciplines of performance (singing, dancing and acting). Gayle performed at London’s National Theatre and in the West End as Stella Elenor Jefferson in Jerry Springer - the Opera, winning the 2004 Olivier Award for best supporting role in a musical. Other musical theatre roles include Sara Jane Moore in Sondheim’s Asassins (Westminster Theatre), Saraghina in Nine (Cochrane Theatre), Peggy in Swallows and Amazons (National Theatre Studio) and Flamin' Nora in Pinocchio (Perth Theatre, Scotland). Theatre includes Gillian in Earl of Mo'Bay (Nottingham Playhouse), Alison in The Incredible Adventures of Adam Spark and S in the groundbreaking 365 for The National Theatre of Scotland. Gayle has worked a fair bit in TV: Michelle in Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Betty in CBBC's Desperados, Jodie in BBC's Casualty and Wendy Boatcumin' in Dr. Who? where she gained a 'Trump' card, and is a part of the official Dr Who mechandise. Gayle has also danced for Nivea’s 'Goodbye Cellulite' advertising campaign, and STV's 'In the mood for bingo' commercial.

Gayle teaches for Sylvia Young Theatre School, where she coaches students for their outside work in West End shows, Cabaret, Film and TV. Other teaching posts have included UK Theatre School and the National Youth Theatre to name but a few, tutotoring for performance, dance and drama. Gayle choreographs shows and cabaret throughout the UK and has been dance captain on some of the above shows. Gayle is excited to give you not only a special first dance, but the performance of a lifetime - from you to your guests - that will be unforgettable!
