Church Weddings
If you are having a traditional church wedding, our classical soprano soloist could sing Ave Maria during the ceremony, perhaps during the signing of the register. Many brides choose to have the singer perform at several points during the service, such as during communion, or even while the bride walks down the aisle. Our soloist is happy to work with the church's own organist, or we can provide an organist or backing CDs if required. We are also able to provide additional musicians to accompany our soloist, such as a trumpeter or harpist.
Civil Ceremonies
If you have chosen to have a civil marriage, or a civil partnership, you can use live music to structure the ceremony, set the scene and create a romantic atmosphere. This is a wonderful way to personalise the day and make it special. We can provide a pianist and digital piano where required – perfect for venues without a piano. Alternatively we can provide high-quality backing CDs.
Receptions
Our soloist is available to provide atmospheric background music for your reception, for up to two hours. This can be with piano accompaniment, or accompanied by a selection of other musicians, for example, string quartet, or acoustic guitar and cello. We can provide a digital piano if your venue does not have a piano. Alternatively, our soloist can perform with backing CDs. There is a wide repertoire of songs to choose from, covering genres as diverse as jazz, pop ballads, musical theatre, opera, classical and sacred music.
Choosing your Wedding Music
Our wedding soloist sings a wide repertoire of music from sacred solos such as Ave Maria and Panis Angelicus to songs from opera, musical theatre, and pop ballads. A Music Consultation session is available to help you choose your music. Please note that under current UK law, religious songs and readings are not permitted as part of a Civil Marriage or Civil Partnership ceremony.
